Week One

From left to right: Elder Pollard, Sister Tidwell, Sister Moon, Elder Guccione, Elder Scholes and Elder Donner in front of the Provo Temple.
It's my P-day and I'm in the laundry room so I can Email you back! It's so, so, so hot in here, but I'm happy I can send you a good Email. The MTC is so great. I really doubted everybody who said that they love it here, but now I know what they mean. I've enjoyed everyday so far.
I wanted to tell you guys about my companion/roomates/district. My companion is Elder Sniatynsky (Snee-uh-tin-ski). He's a pretty great guy. He is by far the best German speaker in our district, so being his companion is very beneficial to my progress. He's super enthusiastic. My roommates are: Elder Guccioni, Elder Donner, Elder Sniatynsky (obviously), Elder Scholes, and Elder Beckstead. They are all pretty good guys. We're goofy at times, but can feel the spirit and be serious when we need to. The 4 other people in my district are Elder Chapman, Elder Fackhart, Sister Tidwell and Sister Moon. They're all great.
Mom: I love and miss you so much. There's not much more I can say than that. Thanks for everything that you've done for me. I miss your food so much...the food here gives me the weirdest stomach aches and gas (ruh-roh).
Dad: I love and miss you, too. you've taught me so much. Not only about the church, but about morals and standards and how to act and be polite. The sisters said they like me and Elder Sniatynsky the most because we're the nicest to them, and I just remember you telling me that my goal should be to be the nicest person in others eyes.
Emily: Thank you for dropping me off! Please tell Matt thank you too. He was so nice to me on the 18th (not that he isn't all the time. I had fun seeing you and enjoyed the breakfast and spending time with you.
Christian: I want you to know that I have your old mission name tag with me here. I hope you don't mind. I wear it on days to throw people off in my German Zone, when my tag is in Spanish. But it serves as a reminder to me of the great example you set for me by going on your mission.
Thomas: Go to seminary and do well. I'm pretty much on the same level as everybody else scripture wise, but I wish I knew more. We started teaching an investigator already, and its nice to be able to answer his questions with a scripture mastery verse instead of just a story. Do well.
I love you all and miss you all. Mom and Dad, please forward this email to Christian and Emily and have Thomas read it. I wanted to say that I'm having a really fun and great time full of learning shtuff auf Deutsch und die Evanglium. I literally just met a Sister missionary in the laundry room who speaks fluent German haha. She's from Mexico, but took German in school. Weird.
BYE!
Tim
