FAMILY. Sup.
Today is P-day and that is always a good day. I went
to the temple this morning at 6 and did initiatories. It was cool. All
the temple workers asked me if I was related to 'Pearl Pollard'? IDK
he's some BYU basketball player or something. I just finished my laundry
so now it's time to Email! Woooo.
I'm so excited to leave for Germany! A week from
tomorrow and I will be on an air-bus to Europe. It's crazy to think that
it's already been almost 9 weeks. It's also crazy to think that they
expect me to speak with native German people right when I get there! We
have 4 companionships heading to Berlin on the same day, so we'll all
travel together. Also, the 7 people going to the Alpine mission fly with
us until Amsterdam, where we leave to Berlin and they go to Munich. So
I'm not to worried about traveling. I WILL CALL YOU GUYS AT THE AIRPORT.
Maybe from SLC, maybe from JFK I don't know yet. I understand the
language pretty well up to this point, but I'm still nervous. There's an
Elder here (Elder Breckwolt) who is from Germany and going to Korea.
He's pretty cool but when he talks, it's so fast that I can only pick
out some words.
We don't do our visa stuff until we get to Germany
actually. Apparently it's like the easiest country in the world to get a
visa to so they don't stress it until we're actually there. I'm just so
excited. My teacher has been telling us stories all week long about how
cool Germany is and everything! So STOKED.
Thanks for sending that heavy coat-it will be so nice. I
regret not bringing it. I will probably not be able to finish all the
stuff Christian sent me haha. I'll have to gift the 54 oz bag of
Skittles...along with my Nerf gun...to one of the new Deutschers coming
in on this Wednesday.
There's really not much to say now haha. I've been so
antsy to go to Germany this whole time. Time just flies and I don't know
if my memories re from this week or last. Our 'investigator' was
baptized on Saturday. That's pretty exciting. We haven't really been
able to break through to our other 2 though...but SOME PEOPLE AREN'T
READY. That's my excuse.
ONE WEEK LEFT. I just really want to get to Germany. I'm so so so so so excited!
Discussing travel plans over a nutritious lunch...
Love,
Elder Pollard
